ABOUT MEDX PHYSIQUES

Built on principles, not fitness trends.

MedX Physiques was created because I believe strength training should be based on professional judgement, not on what happens to be popular. My aim was never to build another conventional gym. I wanted to create a private, professional environment where the quality of the exercise, the equipment and the coaching come first.

Over the years, that philosophy has developed into a set of principles that guide everything we do at MedX Physiques.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

PROFESSIONAL JUDGEMENT OVER POPULAR DEMAND

Our job isn't simply to give clients the exercise they think they want. It's to use our knowledge and experience to determine what we believe is appropriate for the individual in front of us. Sometimes that means progressing. Sometimes it means holding back. Sometimes it means changing direction completely.

Good coaching requires judgement.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

Doing more doesn't automatically mean achieving more. We place greater value on how an exercise is performed, the quality of the muscular effort and the body's ability to recover and adapt. Every part of a programme should have a reason for being there.

STRENGTH SHOULD HAVE A PURPOSE

We aren't trying to make people better at going to the gym.

We want the strength developed at MedX Physiques to make a difference to what people are capable of doing outside it.

Whatever matters to the individual, strength should help them keep doing it.

THE MEDX STANDARD

These principles aren't simply something written on a website. They are the standards I expect from myself and from every trainer who represents MedX Physiques.
